A dedicated panic alert is available for personal location hardware that supports this functionality.This can be used to automatically notify one or more recipients via e-mail or SMS.
If alerts aren't acknowledged within a given time period the situation can be escalated and repeat notifcations sent out.
Dead man alerts can be configured on supporting hardware to warn on lack of movement. This is often configured by changing a g-Sensor movement timeout or pressing a button on the unit repeatedly.
Man down alerts can be configured on supporting hardware when an excessive g-Force is detected.
