We can provide outgoing and incoming interfaces to the fleet tracking service.
Our standard outgoing interfaces consist of an XML Data Pump for real-time replication of
position data, and a GeoRSS feed for periodic snapshots.
Data Pump
The Data Pump interface enables tracking data to be transported in near real time to
clients' own systems. Data is transmitted in an XML format, which means it can be consumed by
just about any technology on the receiving end.
GeoRSS Feed
The GeoRSS feed provides a simple mechanism for exposing current location information
to 3rd party systems. This interface has allowed the
Marie Curie Cancer Care
charity to include live tracking information for several bike rides within their own website.
Custom Interfaces
We are able to provide bespoke incoming interfaces into the service. Several 3rd party
solution providers have already used this facility to enhance their core business with
the many features and benefits our fleet tracking service provides.
